Who is Shaik Rasheed?

Born in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Rasheed is a talented top-order batsman who has represented Andhra in domestic cricket. Before his IPL debut, he played for the team in 19 First-Class matches and scored 1204 runs at 37.62 average, as well as 12 list A and 17 T20 matches. He was India’s vice-captain when they won the 2022 U-19 World Cup. He signed with CSK in 2023.

 In the U-19 World Cup, he scored 201 runs in four games and was India’s third-highest run-getter. With CSK going through a form slump this year, Rasheed’s arrival is an injection of hope and fresh face for the future.
